GTA Vice City is one of the most beloved games in the Grand Theft Auto series – set in a neon-soaked 1986 Miami-inspired city, players control Tommy Vercetti as he builds a criminal empire from nothing. The game is available now as part of GTA The Trilogy Definitive Edition on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Unlike GTA 5 which removed the money cheat, GTA Vice City has a working money cheat plus over 60 additional cheat codes covering weapons, health, vehicles, weather, wanted levels, and wild pedestrian effects. This guide has every single one organized by platform for easy reference.

GTA Vice City Tips for Using Cheats

Tip 1 – Stack Money Cheat Multiple Times

The GTA Vice City money cheat DEEPFRIEDMARSBARS adds $250,000 every single time you enter it. There is absolutely no limit. If you want $5 million enter it 20 times. If you want $10 million enter it 40 times. This is completely unlimited. The fastest way to do this on PC is to type the code rapidly one after another – each entry takes only about 2 seconds so you can accumulate millions in under a minute.

Tip 2 – Use Weapon Set 3 for Maximum Power

Of the three weapon sets, NUTTERTOOLS gives you the strongest loadout including the Minigun which destroys everything in seconds, the Rocket Launcher for vehicles and crowds, and the Flame Thrower for close-range chaos. Always use Weapon Set 3 for general cheat sessions and Weapon Set 2 (PROFESSIONALTOOLS) when you want the sniper rifle for long-range precision.

Tip 3 – Spawn Rhino Then Use Money Cheat

The most fun combination in Vice City cheats is spawning the Rhino tank with PANZER and then using the money cheat several times. With a Rhino tank and unlimited funds you can explore every island freely, take on any number of police stars, and complete side missions with total safety. The Rhino can drive through virtually any obstacle and survives multiple rockets before being destroyed.

Tip 4 – Always Save Before Cheat Sessions

Always save your main progress file before using any cheats. Cheats disable achievements and trophies for that gaming session. Create a separate save file specifically for cheat sessions so your clean achievement-eligible save is always preserved. This way you can freely experiment with all cheats without losing any legitimate progress.

FAQs

1. Is there a GTA Vice City money cheat?

Yes – GTA Vice City has a real working money cheat unlike GTA 5 which removed it. On PC type DEEPFRIEDMARSBARS during gameplay to add $250,000. On PS4/PS5 enter R1, R2, L1, R2, Left, Down, Right, Up, Left, Down, Right, Up. On Xbox enter RB, RT, LB, RT, Left, Down, Right, Up, Left, Down, Right, Up. You can enter the money cheat unlimited times in a row – each entry adds another $250,000.

2. How do you enter cheat codes in GTA Vice City on PC?

On PC, simply type the cheat code directly during active gameplay without pressing any special keys or opening any console. Unlike GTA 5 which requires pressing the tilde key, Vice City detects codes as you type them. A confirmation message appears at the top of the screen when the cheat activates. Codes are not case sensitive on PC.

3. What is the best weapon cheat in GTA Vice City?

The best weapon cheat is Weapon Set 3 – on PC type NUTTERTOOLS. This gives you the Minigun, Rocket Launcher, Flame Thrower, Chainsaw, and more – the most powerful weapons in the game. Weapon Set 2 (PROFESSIONALTOOLS) is better if you need a sniper rifle for long-range shooting. Enter the cheat multiple times as weapons stack with full ammo each time you enter it.

4. What is the GTA Vice City cheat for a tank?

The tank cheat in GTA Vice City spawns a Rhino – on PC type PANZER. On PS4/PS5 enter Circle, Circle, L1, Circle, Circle, Circle, L1, L2, R1, Triangle, Circle, Triangle. On Xbox enter B, B, LB, B, B, B, LB, LT, RB, Y, B, Y. The Rhino is the most powerful vehicle in Vice City – virtually indestructible and capable of crushing any car in its path.

5. Do GTA Vice City cheats work on PS5?

Yes – GTA Vice City cheats work on PS5 through GTA The Trilogy Definitive Edition. The PS5 version uses the same button combinations as PS4. Use the PS4/PS5 button combinations listed in this guide and they will work identically on PS5. All cheats including the money cheat, weapon sets, vehicle spawns, and pedestrian cheats are active in the PS5 Definitive Edition.

6. Can you enter cheats unlimited times in GTA Vice City?

Yes – most GTA Vice City cheats can be entered unlimited times. The money cheat adds $250,000 every single time with no cap. Weapon cheats refill ammo each time entered. Health and armor cheats refill instantly each time. Some toggle cheats like Aggressive Traffic switch on and off with each entry. There is no limit to how many times you can use cheats in a single session.

7. Does using cheats in GTA Vice City affect my save file?

Using cheats in GTA Vice City disables achievements and trophies for that session but does not permanently corrupt your save file. If you save while cheats are active, the cheat effects carry over but the game remains functional. Best practice is to create a separate save file for cheat sessions so your main clean save always has achievement eligibility. You can reload your clean save anytime to return to normal gameplay.

8. What is the GTA Vice City cheat to lower wanted level?

The cheat to clear your wanted level in GTA Vice City is LEAVEMEALONE on PC. On PS4/PS5 enter R1, R1, Circle, R2, Up, Down, Up, Down, Up, Down. On Xbox enter RB, RB, B, RT, Up, Down, Up, Down, Up, Down. This instantly removes all wanted stars. There is also a Never Wanted cheat (IWANTITPAINTEDBLACK on PC) that gives complete immunity from police until deactivated.

9. Which GTA game has the best money cheat?

GTA Vice City and GTA San Andreas both have excellent money cheats that can be stacked. GTA Vice City’s money cheat (DEEPFRIEDMARSBARS) adds $250,000 per use with no limit. GTA San Andreas has a similar money cheat. GTA 5 deliberately removed the money cheat entirely – making Vice City and San Andreas the better choices for players who want to use money cheats to enjoy the full game without grinding.

10. What platforms can you play GTA Vice City on in 2026?

GTA Vice City is available in 2026 as part of GTA The Trilogy Definitive Edition on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S, Nintendo Switch, and PC through Steam and Epic Games Store. The Definitive Edition features improved graphics and updated controls compared to the original 2002 release. All cheat codes listed in this guide work on every platform version of The Trilogy Definitive Edition.
