GTA 5 PS4 Cheats: Full Code List (2026)
Introduction
How to Enter Cheats in GTA 5 on PS4
PS4 supports two separate ways to activate cheats, and both work identically in terms of the result:
- Button combo method: While in Story Mode free roam, enter the listed sequence of buttons quickly using your controller’s face buttons and D-pad. A small on-screen message confirms the cheat is activated.
- Phone number method: Open your character’s in-game phone (press Up on the D-pad), go to Contacts, press Square to switch to manual dialing, enter the 1-999 number, then call it.
Important: GTA 5 PS4 cheats only work in Story Mode, not GTA Online, and using any cheat disables trophies for the remainder of that session. Save your game before experimenting, so you can reload a clean file afterward.

Top 5 GTA 5 PS4 Cheats Every Player Should Know

- All Weapons instantly equips a full arsenal with ammo, ideal for messing around in free roam.
- Lower Wanted Level removes one star per use, which is far faster than losing the cops the normal way.
- Spawn Buzzard Helicopter gives you an armed chopper on demand for fast travel or chaos.
- Max Health & Armor: an instant full refill without needing to find a vending machine or armor pickup.
Is There a GTA 5 Money Cheat on PS4?
No, this needs to be said clearly because it’s one of the most searched myths in the GTA 5 PS4 Cheats community.
There has never been an official cheat code that grants unlimited money in GTA 5, whether in Story Mode or GTA Online, on any platform including PS4.
Any code, website, or video claiming otherwise is either outdated clickbait or a scam attempting to collect your account details.
The closest legitimate in-game shortcut is timing Lester’s assassination missions around stock market plays in Story Mode.
How to Turn Off a GTA 5 Cheat
- Re-enter the same code for most cheats, including invincibility and all weapons, to toggle off exactly the way they were turned on.
- Cycle through progressive effects cheats, such as weather and slow motion, move through multiple stages, so you may need to enter the code several times to return to normal.
- Reload a clean save; this is the only way to fully reset the session and restore trophy tracking.
Troubleshooting: Why Your Cheat Isn’t Working
| Issue | Fix |
|---|---|
| You’re in GTA Online | Cheats only work in Story Mode; switch back to single-player free roam |
| You’re inside a mission | Some cheats are blocked during missions. Leave and try again in free roam |
| Combo entered too slowly | Re-enter the sequence quickly and precisely, without pausing between inputs |
| Vehicle won’t spawn | Move to a larger open area with enough clear space, then try again |
| Duke O’Death, Kraken, or Dodo won’t spawn | Complete the specific unlock event tied to that vehicle first |
Final Thoughts
GTA 5 PS4 Cheats system on PS4 remains just as reliable today as it was at launch: no patches, no bans, and no downloads, just button combos and phone numbers that work every time in Story Mode.
Save a backup file first, keep this list handy, and you’ll have every God Mode, weapon, and getaway vehicle a tap away.
FAQs
1. Do GTA 5 PS4 cheats disable trophies?
Yes. Using any cheat disables trophies for the rest of that play session. Reloading a clean save from before the cheat was used restores trophy tracking.
2. Is there a money cheat for GTA 5 on PS4?
No. There is no cheat code that gives unlimited money in GTA 5 story mode or GTA Online, on any platform.
3. Do cheat codes work in GTA Online on PS4?
No. Cheat codes only function in Story Mode. Using mod menus or hacks in GTA Online can result in a ban.
4. Can I use phone number cheats and button combos interchangeably on PS4?
Yes, on PS4 and PS5 both input methods work for the same cheats, so you can use whichever is more convenient in the moment.
5. Why did my GTA 5 cheat code fail to activate?
The most common reasons are entering the combo too slowly, being inside a mission that blocks cheats, or being in GTA Online where cheats don’t work at all.
6. How do I turn off a GTA 5 cheat once it’s active?
Re-enter the exact same code again. Most cheats toggle off the same way they were turned on.
7. Do I need to unlock anything before using vehicle spawn cheats?
Most vehicle cheats work immediately, but the Duke O’Death, Kraken submarine, and Dodo seaplane each require completing a specific in-game random event first.
